What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at  I-30 in Dallas, TX on September 18th, 2021. Police say it happened around 8:57 a.m. A Ford F-150 operated by 41-year-old Juan Cedillos Alfaro is said to have veered from the road and into the rear of a semi-truck parked in a shoulder. Investigators believe that Alfaro may have been using a cellphone at the time of the crash and noted that it did not appear that the brakes were applied prior to the collision. Alfaro suffered fatal injuries in the collision. There were no other injuries noted.
