What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a man at State Hwy 21 in Lee County, TX on December 14th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:37 a.m. Investigators say a Dodge Ram 3500, operated by 21-year-old Juan Granados, was headed eastbound on Hwy 21. Traveling westbound on Hwy 21 was a tractor-trailer. Authorities allege the Dodge traveled onto the westbound side of the road, for unconfirmed reasons, before striking the tractor-trailer. The collision caused the Dodge to overturn onto its side and the tractor-trailer to become jackknifed. Reports indicate the tractor-trailer operator was uninjured while Granados had serious injuries.
