Authorities in Hidalgo County, TX, are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred on March 14, 2025, at approximately 2:43 p.m. at the intersection of FM 493 and FM 1925. Authorities are saying a Ford Fusion, traveling west, ran a red light and collided at an angle with a Chevrolet 3500 traveling south. The 35-year-old driver of the Ford, who was not publicly identified, sustained suspected serious injuries and was charged with failure to stop and render aid. He was also unlicensed and had allegedly been drinking. The 59-year-old driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Juan Hernandez Martinez, sustained minor injuries.
