Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at Spur 408 in Dallas, TX on January 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6 p.m. According to investigators, a pickup truck headed southbound reportedly veered into a shoulder for unknown reasons. It then struck the rear of a Ford Focus parked there with active hazard lights. Officers did not provide a possible cause for the vehicle veering from the road. The driver of the Focus, identified as 45-year-old Juan Puente, was killed int eh collision. The pickup truck operator, said to be a 27-year-old Dallas man, had minor injuries, according to police.
