What Happened

Police have information on a two-vehicle crash that killed a person at Hwy 385 in Ector County, TX on February 19th, 2023. Officials say it happened around 11:52 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 23-year-old Juan Rodrigues was headed northbound on 385 prior to being struck head-on by a second truck traveling on the wrong side. Rodriguez was killed in the collision while his passenger, 20-year-old Auden Saenz, was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The other driver, 37-year-old Primitivo Aaron Guerrero was also hospitalized with injuries. Officers allege suspicion of intoxication and say there is a possibility of an Intoxication Manslaughter charge being issued, pending investigation. Additional information was not available.
