Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at 18th St in Hidalgo County, TX on March 21st, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 12:23 a.m. Investigators are saying a a commercial truck operated by a 28-year-old Weslaco man was reversing into a private lot when it was struck by a Honda Accord operated by 73-year-old Juan Vela. Police allege driver inattention played a factor in the crash, which caused serious injuries to Vela.
