Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at Crabb River Rd in Sugar Land, TX on January 10th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:47 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 67-year-old Thicket, TX man was stopped in a right turn lane behind a Ford Explorer operated by 71-year-old Judy Lynn Hassell. Investigators say the Explorer pulled forward and stopped before attempting to merge and the truck pulled forward from an improper start and struck the Explorer. Hassell suffered minor injuries in the collision. Thicket was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
