What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at Minnesota Ave in Brownsville, TX on June 28th, 2021. Police say the incident happened as a GMC Yukon reportedly ran a red light at an intersection. It then collided with a Dodge Grand Caravan and Dodge Caravan. A 27-year-old passenger in the Yukon suffered fatal injuries. The driver and two children were hospitalized with serious injuries. Police charged the Yukon operator with Intoxication Manslaughter and multiple counts of Intoxication Assault. Police say the driver of Dodge Grand Caravan, 60-year-old Julia de la Garza and 44-year-old Maria Prado both suffered serious injuries.
