What Happened

Authorities are investigating a collision that killed one person at I-40 and Western Blvd in Amarillo, TX on March 19th, 2025. Reports indicate a Toyota Tundra towing a trailer is alleged to have lost control and collided with the rear of a BMW X3.  The impact is aid to have pushed the BMW across a center divider before the truck collided with a business sing. Officials say 58-year-old Toyota passenger, Julia Grubb, was fatally injured. The BMW operated was allegedly uninjured. The drive rod the Toyota was hospitalized with suspected life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not available.
