What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a man at I-10 in Pecos County, TX on November 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened as a Chevrolet Impala headed westbound allegedly attempted to pass another vehicle. While doing so, the vehicle is said to have lost control, possibly due to speed and wet roads from rainy weather. Police say the vehicle veered across a median where it overturned multiple times into a nearby pasture. Two rear seat passengers, including 24-year-old Frank Alex Moreno and 21-year-old Julian Solia, were ejected from the vehicle. Solis suffered fatal injuries at the scene while Moreno and 23-year-old driver, Anil Jassani, were hospitalized, Moreno in critical condition. Additional details were not available.
