Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at State Hwy 302 in Reeves County, TX on August 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:45 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by a 49-year-old woman was westbound on Hwy 302, turning left onto County Rd 425. Police allege a Dodge Ram may have failed to control its speed before colliding with the rear of a Ford. The impact pushed the Ford into a ditch as the Dodge collided head-on with an approaching tractor-trailer. Officials say the Dodge operator, identified as 38-year-old Julian Valdez Jr, suffered serious injuries in the crash. The operator of the tractor-trailer had suspected minor injuries.
