Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 60 in Deaf Smith County, TX on October 5th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 11:40 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Avalanche operated by 43-year-old Ronnie Jenkins was headed northeast on US 60 before entering onto a crossover and traveling across westbound lanes to enter a private drive. In the process, the vehicle failed to yield and collided with a Ford F-150 operated by 29-year-old Julie Escalante. Both drivers were seriously injured and officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge for Jenkins.
