Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 1788 in Andrews County, TX on January 6th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:54 a.m. A Dodge Ram operated by a 30-year-old Artesia, NM man was headed northbound on FM 1788 when investigators say it crossed a center line into southbound lanes, crashing into a Kia Forte operated by 57-year-old Jung Kwan Kim. Kim suffered serious injuries in the collision. The other driver was not injured and records indicate he was charged with Intoxication Assault and Failure to Drive in Single Lane.
