What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 4 in Hood County, TX on September 22nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:14 a.m. A tractor-trailer hauling a mobile home was traveling westbound on FM 4 when it began crossing a narrow bridge. A Ford Expedition traveling eastbound approached and came to a complete stop. The truck attempted to slow but was unable to do so and struck the Expedition. The driver, 31-year-old Kacy Jo Gray, suffered serious injuries injuries. Police say the truck did have a permit to haul a mobile home but was in violation due to not having an escort. That driver was not injured and was cited.
