What Happened

Palestine Police have arrested a driver in connection with a fatal hit-and-run at South Loop 256 and Old Elkhart Rd in Palestine, TX on January 15th, 2022. They say it happened around 9:30 p.m. and involved a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian and leaving the scene. When officers arrived, they found 41-year-old Kandy Sexton had been the victim involved and pronounced Sexton dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle involved was identified as 30-year-old Colby Ghloston. Gholston has been arrested on charges that include Intoxication Manslaughter.
