What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured two people at I-30 in Greenville, TX on August 2nd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:17 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 64-year-old Paris, TX man was headed southeast on I-30 as it came up on slowing traffic ahead. The truck failed to control its speed and tool evasive action by veering into another lane, causing the trailer to jack knife and strike a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 61-year-old Karen Crow. The Silverado began rotating and struck another vehicle, causing minor injuries to both Crow and her passenger, 62-year-old Thomas Crow. The truck driver, who was not injured, was cited for Failure to Control Speed.
