What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash at Adams Ave in Port O'Connor, TX on July 1st, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6 p.m. and involved a golf cart colliding with a Kia Sorento. Police allege one of the vehicles failed to yield after pulling into the path of the other from a stop sign. The collision left 62-year-old Karen Logan Fleeman with fatal injuries at the scene. A second occupant of the same vehicle, 65-year-old Terrell Lee Fleeman, was ejected from the vehicle in the impact and hospitalized with serious injuries. The other driver, 32-year-old Kyle Gordon Ganezle, was reportedly uninjured. Additional information was not immediately available.
