What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 20 in Benbrook, TX on July 22nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:35 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by a 52-year-old DeSoto was headed westbound when it was struck by a Honda Accord headed eastbound in a westbound middle lane. The Ford overturned before colliding with right side of a GMC Sierra towing a trailer. Albawi suffered serious injuries while the DeSoto man was evaluated for possible injuries. Reports show a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued.
