Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 110 in Smith County, TX on September 16th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 7:40 p.m. A Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by 28-year-old Katie Ann Adame reportedly veered from its lane into a ditch before overturning. Adame was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and suffered serious injuries upon rollover when she was ejected from the vehicle. Investigators allege that Adame admitted to previously consuming alcohol prior to driving and she was issued charged for Failure to Drive in Single Lan, Open Container and No Seat Belt.
