What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at I-35 in Austin, TX on June 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:23 a.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 40-year-old Robert Ramos was headed southbound on I-35 when it reportedly took evasive action to avoid a collision with a semi-truck. Reports indicate both Ramos and his passenger, 32-year-old Katy Trejo, exited the motorcycle and fell into the roadway. Trejo was unable to exit the road before she was struck by an approaching Toyota. Trejo suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Reports indicate DWI and Unlawful Carrying of Weapons charges were recommended and/or issued against Trejo.
