What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at US 290 in Waller County, TX on June 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:50 p.m. A tractor-trailer was reportedly approaching a line of stopped traffic at a high rate of speed, according to the driver of a Ford Explorer. The Ford driver attempted to avoid being struck and moved aside, however was struck by the truck anyway. The Ford then collided with another tractor-trailer while the first truck hit another and that truck hit another. Keely Hitchcock and 21-year-old Cole Creary were injured in the crash. The driver of the first tractor-trailer was evaluated for possible injuries. The other drivers were not injured.
