What Happened

Authorities are searching for a driver in connection with a fatal hit-and-run at West Mount Houston Rd in Houston, TX on August 31st, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 10:40 p.m. Reports indicate a man and woman may not have yielded to oncoming traffic prior to being struck by a westbound vehicle. Following the collision, sources say the suspect vehicle fled the scene, withouts stopping to render aid. Both pedestrians, including Keila Monge, were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Monge later passed away of her injuries. Authorities did not have any additional information available.
