What Happened

Police arrested a man involved in a crash that left one person killed at Main Lane and US Hwy 90 in Beaumont, TX on September 7th, 2021. The incident involved a motorcycle headed eastbound on Hwy 90 colliding with a Mazda sedan that failed to yield at the stop sign intersection. The motorcyclist, identified as 74-year-old Kenneth Weaver, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. The driver of the sedan, identified as 37-year-old Brittian Kerr, and his passenger, were not injured. Authorities arrested Kerr on a charge of failure to stop and render aid resulting in death.
