What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at US Hwy 287 in Anderson County, TX on July 29th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:35 p.m. A 2012 Honda Civic stopped at a stopped sign before reportedly failing to yield and pulling out into the path of an 18-wheeler for unknown reasons. It then collided with the truck, seriously injuring the driver, 21-year-old Keren Dyer. Dyer was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries that she died from on August 4th. The driver of the truck, 36-year-old Travis McMillian, was not injured. Additional information was not immediately available.
