El Paso police are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Lee Trevino Blvd in El Paso, TX on May 19th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 3 a.m. According to investigators, a pedestrian was reportedly crossing the roadway before being struck by a passing Jeep Cherokee. Following the collision, reports allege the Jeep fled the scene, leaving behind 21-year-old pedestrian, Kimberly Espinoza, without stopping to render aid. Espinoza was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. Authorities say the operated of the Jeep was 25-year-old Leslie Lopez, who was arrested in connection with the incident.
