What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have identified one person killed in the crash FM 39 in Grimes County, TX on February 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado headed southbound allegedly crossed a center line before hitting a Ford F-350 headed northbound. 37-year-old Kimberly Roberts, the Chevrolet operator, died in the collision.  The other driver, 64-year-old Lonny Dewberry, was hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
