Police say the incident happened around 6:28 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Mustang operated by 57-year-old Kirt Moore was headed southbound before it lost control on the pothole and gravel covered roadway. The vehicle went into a skid while attempting to take corrective action, causing it to crash through a wire fence. This caused the vehicle to go into a roll before it collided with a tree.
