What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at North Fwy in Spring, TX on August 1st, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:45 a.m. An Acura TSX operated by 24-year-old Kourtney Hawkins was entering the freeway while traveling in the wrong direction when it collided head-on with a Dodge pickup truck. The  truck caught fire and a passenger in the truck, 22-year-old Nely Martinez, suffered fatal injuries. Hawkins also died at the scene. Four other Dodge passengers were hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
