What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured two people at TX 124 in Chambers County, TX on March 26th, 2022. They say the incident happened around 8 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle operated by 32-year-old Kyle Vidalier was headed northbound on TX 124 behind a GMC Yukon operated by a 19-year-old male. as traffic ahead was stopped, police believe both vehicles traveled into the shoulder to pass the traffic. In the process, the GMC either came to a stop or reduced its speed low enough that a collision occurred between the vehicles. Both Vidalier and his passenger, 30-year-old Caitlin Vidalier, suffered serious injuries. The Yukon driver was not injured, however, reports indicate a charge of Driving While Intoxicated was recommended and/or issued for the driver.
