What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that killed a driver at FM 84 in Grayson County, TX on November 7th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:07 a.m. A Chevrolet Silverado operated by 40-year-old Kyle Wilhelm was headed northwest on FM 84 when it veered from the road into a ditch. While in the process of trying to correct back onto the roadway, the vehicle began to overturn and flipped multiple times after hitting a guardrail. Wilhelm was ejected from the vehicle before it flipped into a ditch. Wilhelm was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Investigators allege that alcohol may have played a factor in the crash.
