What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 82 in Wichita County, TX on March 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 4:58 p.m. Investigators say a tractor-trailer operated by a 20-year-old El Paso man was headed westbound in a right lane on US 82 as a Dodge Ram 1500 operated by 52-year-old Ladonna Unell Hogan was starting a right turn into a private driveway. Police say the tractor-trailer alleged failed to control its speed and struck the back left of the vehicle causing it to overturn onto its side. The truck veered from the road and crashed into a telephone. Hogan suffered minor injuries in the collision. The El Paso man and a passenger were not injured and the driver was issued a Failure to Control Speed charge.
