What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at I-30 in Garland, TX on December 12th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 5:17 p.m. and involved an Acura TL operated by 59-year-old Lane Evans. According to investigators, the Acura was headed westbound on I-30 when it veered through a median onto the westbound service road for unknown reasons. From there it struck a curb and and overpass pillar before overturning and ejecting Evans in the process. Evans was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional information was not available.
