Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two people at US 79 in Leon County, TX on November 27th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:06 a.m. Investigates say a Ford Transit van was carrying five occupants northbound while turning left onto US 79. Reports allege the van failed to yield at the intersection with FM 39, colliding with a tractor-trailer while turning. Several people were ejected from the vehicle in the crash, reports say. Two of the occupants, identified as 24-year-old Lane Wireman and 25-year-old Seth Brown, suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
