What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed two adults and a child at Westpark Tollway and FM 1464 in Richmond, TX on July 9th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 1:15 a.m. A passenger sedan operated by 28-year-old Kenneth Curtis Bufford was reportedly traveling the wrong direction when it collided with an Audi SUV operated by 37-year-old Laura Nguyen. The SUV caught fire and Nguyen suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Bufford also suffered fatal injuries. Police say the 2-year-old nephew of Bufford, who was a passenger in the wrong-way vehicle, was flown to an area hospital and also died. Further information was not available.
