What Happened

Area authorities are working to piece together information in a crash at I-10 and FM 725 in Seguin, TX on September 9th, 2021. Officials have said it happened around 7 a.m. A semi-truck headed eastbound on I-10 lost control after a tire blowout, causing it to veer into and through a guardrail. It then traveled down an embankment and caught fire. The driver was able to escape the truck and hospitalized in critical condition. A passenger, 40-year-old Larry Cruz was not able to escape and pronounced dead at the scene. Additional information was not available.
