Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Highway 150 in San Jacinto County, TX on July 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:09 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet C1500 operated by a 44-year-old driver who was not publicly identified is alleged to have run a posted stop sign at the FM 2693 intersection. From there, the vehicle is said to have crossed over a westbound lane, colliding with a Kia Soul operated by 36-year-old Lashawnda Cherry. Officials say Cherry had injuries considered non-life-threatening in nature while the Chevrolet operator was not injured. Sources indicate an Intoxication Assault charge was recommended and/or issued against the Chevrolet operator.
