Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a pedestrian at US Business 69 in Greenville, TX on October 2nd, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:23 p.m. According to investigators, a pedestrian was entering onto the roadway from the south side, attempting to cross northbound to the other side of the road. It was alleged by officials the pedestrian may have failed to yield to traffic before they were struck by an oncoming SUV. The pedestrian, identified as Latasha Vasquez, was taken to an area hospital with injuries she later died from. Police say the SUV operator remained at the scene for authorities and died not have additional information available.
