State Police are investigating a crash that killed a man at Upper Leggett Rd in Polk County, TX on February 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 1:25 a.m. Investigators say a Dodge pickup truck operated by 21-year-old Tarius Martin was headed northbound at a speed believed to be unsafe when it lost control while attempting to negotiate a curve. The vehicle reportedly veered from the road and crashed into a tree, causing fatal injuries to a passenger, 23-year-old Latorian King. Two other passengers, 19-year-old Jaelin Washington and 25-year-old Jaquavious Nickson, were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Additional information was not available.
