What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officers are investigating a crash that killed three people at County Rd 211 in Denver City, TX on July 12th, 2021. Police say the incident involved a Ford Expedition operated by 40-year-old Laura Marin was headed northbound when it is said to have entered southbound lanes at some point. It then collided head-on with a Chevrolet 2500 that was pulling a trailer, Marin and one of her passengers, 64-year-old Rosalva Marin, both died at the scene. 16-year-old Alexis Zamarippa, another passenger, was taken to an area hospital where she also died. The other driver was hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Police were able to confirm that everyone involved was wearing seatbelts.
