What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people at Moorefield Rd in Palmview, TX on March 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:11 p.m. According to their investigation, a Dodge Journey operated by a 32-year-old Edinburg man was headed southbound when it collided with a parked vehicle and sideswiping another vehicle on the opposite side of the road. 22-year-old Laura Salinas, who investigators learned was pregnant, was hospitalized with non-life-threatneing injuries. The driver of the same vehicle, a 23-year-old McAllen man, also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The Edinburg man and his passengers were not injured. Reports indicate he was charged with two counts of Intoxication Assault and two counts of Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger.
