What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Atascocita Rd in Harris County, TX on July 7th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 1:26 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 was eastbound on Atascocita Rd while a Toyota Sequoia traveled westbound. Reports allege the Ford veered into westbound lanes prior to colliding head-on with the Toyota. The collision is said to have left the driver of the Toyota, identified Lauro Ochoa Jr, seriously injured. Reports say both Ochoa and the driver of the Ford, identified as Donald Price, were hospitalized. Ochoa died from his injuries shortly after arrival.
