What Happened

Lubbock Police are investigating a crash that killed one person at East 50th and East Loop 289 in Lubbock, TX on October 30th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 2 a.m. and involved a wrong-way vehicle colliding with another vehicle. Officials say the driver of the pickup truck that was struck, identified as 38-year-old Leland Taylor, was fatally injured. Officials say the driver of the wrong-way vehicle, identified as 42-year-old Ricardo Ferreyra was seriously injured as was 29-year-old pickup truck passenger, Kirstin Gallemore. Additional inforamtion was not immediately available.
