What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a hit-and-run accident at San Dario and Lafayette in Laredo, TX on April 21st, 2023. Police are saying the incident happened around 6 a.m. According to investigators,  76-year-old Leonardo Teniente was attempting to cross the street prior to being struck by a vehicle. The vehicle did not remain at the scene to render aid and the victim died at the scene from his injuries. Police later identified 22-year-old Marcus Fischer as the suspect involved and say faces a charge of accident involving death. Additional information is not available at this time.
