Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 81 in Decatur, TX on June 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:32 p.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado operated by 40-year-old Leonel Nunez Lainez was headed eastbound on FM 1810 when it reportedly crossed southbound lanes and crashed into a utility pole in a center median. Lainez suffered serious injuries in the crash. Reports indicate a Driving While Intoxicated charge was recommended and/or issued.
