What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 2191 in Brooks County, TX on June 8th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:29 a.m. A Chevrolet Malibu operated by 25-year-old Leonel Salinas III was allegedly traveling at an unsafe speed when it then began to veer from the road. The vehicle attempted to correct back onto the road before it then went into a skid and struck a power pole and fence. It then overturned multiple times, causing Salinas serious injuries. Police issued charges for Unsafe Speed and Failure to Drive in A Single Lane.
