What Happened

San Antonio Police are investigating a crash that injured a man at US Hwy 281 in San Antonio, TX on April 9th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 was allegedly attempting to pass a Lexus NX300 before swerving to avoid a collision. The vehicle traveled towards the right side of the road and collided with a Volkswagen Jetta. The impact is said to have pushed the Volkswagen from the road into a guardrail while the Ford also struck a guardrail. The Volkswagen operator, identified as 32-year-old Leroy Fuentes, was taken to an area hospital with injuries believed to be serious, according to police. The driver of the Ford was suspected of intoxication at the time of the crash and authorities recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge.
