Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at TX 44 in Nueces County, TX on December 16th, 2021. Officials are saying the incident happened around 8:15 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by an unidentified 37-year-old male was headed eastbound on TX 44 before it veered into the shoulder. Investigators say it performed an unsafe left turn, colliding with the rear of a Jeep Renegade operated by 41-year-old Leslie Ann Garcia. Garcia suffered minor injuries in the collision. The other driver was not injured. Records indicate the truck driver was issued a charge of Turning When Unsafe.
