What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least one person involved at US 84 in Littlefield, TX on February 25th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:32 p.m. Investigators say a Kia Optima was headed westbound on US 84 as a Chevrolet Colorado performed a left turn ahead at the Phelps Ave intersection. Authorities allege the Chevrolet failed to yield while turning, traveling into the path of the approaching Kia. The vehicles collided, the collision leaving 68-year-old Chevrolet passenger, Lila Salinas, seriously inured. Sources indicate neither driver was injured and list a DWI charge being recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Chevrolet.
