What Happened

Harris County Sheriff's Office authorities are investigating a collision that killed two people at Veterans Memorial Dr in Harris County, TX on November 27th, 2021. Officials say the incident happened just before 10:50 p.m. A pickup is said to have been speeding on northbound Veterans Memorial Dr when it collided with the side of a second pickup truck that had just turned into the intersection. Both vehicles were pushed from the road into a side ditch and the impact caused fatal injuries to 62-year-old Sabino Angón Martinez and 60-year-old Lilia Angón. The other driver is said to be facing possible DWI charges after officers say he allegedly showed signs of intoxication at the scene.
