What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a driver at FM 1021 in Eagle Pass, TX on June 10th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:41 a.m. According to investigators, a Buick Enclave headed westbound on El Indio Hwy is alleged to have collided with the rear of westbound Dodge Ram. The impact is said to have caused the Dodge to hydroplane into an eastbound lane, colliding with an eastbound Chevrolet Silverado. Police say the driver of the Silverado, identified as 49-year-old Lilia Ramirez, was killed. The driver of the Dodge, identified as 51-year-old Emerita Tijerina, was seriously injured, reports say. Sources indicate the Buick operator, who was not publicly identified, was uninjured. Additional information was not available.
